Theo had always known that he was a Slytherin and he had always wondered what made a certain group of students, lead by a certain Gryffindor, be so reckless and so against self-preservation. Students in 7th year at Hogwarts were given the chance to continue their studies in 8th year. This was set up for the students so that they could continue their magical education. All younger students were to repeat their year before moving on to the next year. Studies would continue just as normal as ever.
