"You weren't there when I needed you..." Her voice broke, each word brimming with pain she'd kept buried. "You left me. I was completely alone."

My throat tightened as I whispered, "Our baby..."

Her eyes flashed with anguish. "Our baby?" She laughed bitterly. "When I delivered her, they asked for clothes to wrap her. I had nothing-my hospital bag was at home. So, I gave them my dupatta.
