Meeting Marks parents who come to thank him for saving their son starts a chain of events that Danny could never have imagined. He catches feelings for the mirror man, and for the real Mark Chandler when he wakes up. Danny's ex returns, causing a scene and a broken door, forcing Danny to stay with Marks family. All is okay until a silly spat takes Danny back to his flat where he collapses, exhausted after neglecting himself. Waking up in hospital he learns that Mark has had half his leg amputated after also collapsing at home.
