Whatever happens, don't put me down as some kind of good person.

***

Duncan Ashe was murdered.

Everyone thinks that it was just a potions accident because they think whatever Dumbledore tells them to. How does Blaise know he was murdered? Blaise isn't stupid. Also Theodore Nott won't stop pestering him about the legendary (and totally made up) Cursed Vaults. Even more incredibly, Theodore insists that the person that killed Duncan Ashe was a Gryffindor. Despite his reluctance, Blaise finds himself pushed by circumstance to investigate a mystery lying at the heart of Slytherin House.

But one annoying red-head keeps getting in his way. Ron should be busy with his Quidditch championship and whatever Hermione and Harry are up to, but someone's tipped him off, and now he thinks another Slytherin is trying to open a forbidden Chamber.

Blaise quickly finds himself caught up in a mystery that has the potential to blow everything they know about Hogwarts and He Who Must Not Be Named out of the water. It turns out, there's much more to Duncan's death, the school and dumbass Gryffindors, than he could have bargained.

It's a race between Blaise and (potentially) the Death Eaters themselves; and if he doesn't uncover the answer soon, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry won't stand a chance on the day of reckoning.

This is going to be set in the summer before fifth year at Hogwart's. Harry had always believed in Dumbledore and never doubted him that is until he was forced into the triwizard tournament by said man. While Dumbledore had left him all alone in the hell he was forced to participate in he thought that his friends would stick by him through all of this, but no they turned on him thinking that he had put his name in to get him even more fame than he already had. Ron was the jealous one while Hermione was the one thinking that he had broken some rules to do something that would give him yet another adventure. Harry was then left to rely on the only person that was willing to help him and that was 'Alastor Moody' aka Barty Crouch Jr. As Harry was getting the help of an actual adult that cared for him and seemed like he wanted him to survive they got closer. Barty soon told Harry everything but Harry didn't really care mainly because at least they had never lied to him or with held information form him. So while it got closer to the last task Harry was real close friends with Barty and they had already brought Voldemort back to his former glory of Tom Riddle. Tom and Barty had found out that Harry was Tom's accidental Horcrux they couldn't really fix it without killing Harry and as it was they both thought of him as their family. So when that last task arrived Harry didn't take the cup but Cedric did and he had won while Harry and Barty had 'mysteriously' disappeared. They both arrived with there things in front of Gringott's with Tom already waiting on them and this is where the story begins.

Stella lived in the shadow of her parent's legacy, but she was okay with that. There was no way she could live a more impressive life than Draco and Hermione Malfoy. She accepted it. They both saved the Wizarding World as teenagers. What she couldn't accept was her mother dying. Minister Hermione Malfoy had been cursed with Dark Magic that was slowly sucking the life out of her. Time was running out and the funeral preparations were already being made to Dad's discontent... But Mum didn't have any fight left in her after three years. At least that's what she thought. Stella stumbles upon some hidden archives her mother dug up that talked about an ancient relic that was known for curing Dark Magic. All she had to do was travel to 1898 and locate the last wizard who wrote about it in his journal. Easy? Sounds like it. What she didn't expect was to get involved with a neurodivergent sociopath who plans to use Stella for bait in order to capture the infamous Muggle killer: Jack the Ripper.... But it's either bend to his will or never have the artifact that could cure her mother. Follow Stella as she learns how to catch a killer, navigates the past, and tries not to notice how attractive her new boss is. Love and crime don't mix... Right? Genre: Cold case romance / Very spicy, mature scenes ahead.
