Self-made billionaire Mookkaew Raksaseri is among Southeast Asia's youngest and most influential businesswomen. She founded Royal Orchid Trading Co., a well-known Thai import-export business that specializes in fine arts, crafts, textiles, and gourmet foods, in 2010.
Mookkaew was a cunning and blatantly ambitious woman who used a combination of ruthless business strategies and an insatiable drive to grow her empire to build Royal Orchid from the ground up. Dedicated to her sovereignty, she does not wish to be 'tied down' in a marriage, despite frequent alliance proposals from her rival business, the respected Siamese Silk Emporium.
Mookkaew understands that collaborating with Siamese Silk would help her establish herself as a dominant force in the area and build Royal Orchid more rapidly. However, the idea of surrendering any degree of independence to a spouse or in-laws is unappealing to her.
Mookkaew devises a cunning scheme since she's unwilling to wed the son or daughter of the Siamese Silk heir. Her closest friend Thanyaporn Wongsawat, the sole heir to the Golden Elephant Investments, agrees to assist her. They went together in search of an 'instant sister for Mookkaew and created a story about one of her parents' illegitimate daughter. The idea is to wed this woman off to the Siamese Silk children so that Mookkaew can obtain the desired monetary alliance without having to submit to anyone.
Their search leads them to Avery Roberts, a young woman of British-Thai descent. While arranging Avery's introduction to her life and her upcoming marriage to Siamese Silk, Mookkaew finds herself surprisingly falling in love with her new 'sister'. Torn between her ruthless business ambitions and the stirrings of an emotional attachment, Mookkaew has to deal with a difficult plan of her own making. Will she be able to pull off her ambitious plan, or will her developing feelings for Avery cause her carefully thought out schemes to fall apart?
