Eternal Masquerade

When French noblewoman Geneviève de Beaumont purchased Woodstone Mansion in 1900, she envisioned grand masquerade balls-but her life ends mysteriously on Halloween night at her first event. Now bound to the mansion as a ghost, Geneviève celebrates Halloween every year with her ghostly companions, including her loyal des Loups Ariégeois dog, Lumière, whose ghostly bark echoes through the halls, and Orian, her majestic Ardennais horse, whose spectral steps still thud softly in the stables.

When Sam and Jay arrive over a century later, Geneviève's calm afterlife is disturbed. Haunted by memories of her forgotten death, she begins to uncover secrets with the help of Sassapis, a steady presence who becomes her unexpected confidant and perhaps something more. Together, they unravel the mystery of her past, drawing closer as Halloween transforms into a season of revelations, romance, and new life for the mansion's haunted residents.

This story is inspired by https://www.wattpad.com/story/374036527-how-sweet-ghosts, a story I found recently. Their story was up before mine, even if I didn't know about it, so I put their wonderful story up for recognition and a source of inspiration.
