I looked down at Joey, his light brown hair, now dirty with dirt and granite, those green eyes that had such life in them, now looked as if the life was sucked out of them, he understood what was happening, and he knew that mom and dad we're leaving. Dad appeared out of no where and smiled at both of us,carried us into his arms and hugged us. "Zoey, this is where you'll take him now, it's time for us to go." He kisses my head and held Joey one more time. The door banged down, mom grabbed us and dad started fighting. "Run Zoey! Run and never stop running till you find a home." And that's what I did I ran.
