He pervades the diary with records of the heart-warming, hilarious, insane, rarely witty (and mostly drunk) people he meets and has had conversations with in the corner outside of Oavad pub.

Dear Diary
If you found a diary on a bench in a park with absolutely no one around, would you read it? Most people would, to try and find a name or something that they could use to return it to they owner. Other people might just be being nosy, but that's rude. When Niall found the tattered purple diary in the park, he was originally searching for an address. He was intrigued, however, by the girl's writing, and he kept reading until he finished it (not meaning to be nosy, of course, just curious, although that would be considered as nosy). He was determined to find the girl after he finished. Would she be the person he imagined?Complete

The only thing left of him was his diary. That stupid diary he had made him write. The thing felt pointless now. How was it meant to help him, if he wasn't even here anymore? Elizabeth has a very mundane boring life but sometimes she needs to vent about anything and everything. The only relief she finds is by writing it down. So this is her life. This is her diary.
