Jack Williams, the dark haired city boy who always seems to have a cigarette hanging out of his mouth and a girl on his hip.

"A man is standing there, dark messy hair and a gun in front of his face. He's tall and lean, wearing a white t-shirt and ripped jeans that are hanging partially down his ass, revealing his black boxer briefs. He has a cigarette hanging loosely out of the corner of his mouth and I watch as he takes a deep drag, then releases the smoke out of his nose. His cheekbones are high set and prominent on his strong face. His left eye is still shut- helping him aim-, and his right is focused on me."

Kate O'Connor, the beautiful blonde haired high school senior with a bright future ahead of her. Pale blue eyes full of life and a gorgeous smile planted on her lips.

Both are so different from what they show on the outside, and when they meet, everything comes out.

I feel the breath of air on the back of my neck. My limbs freeze and my breath catches in my throat. The male hands grab me by the hips. I can't move. His lips are by my ear, grazing the skin, his teeth tugging on my earlobe. His breath is hot on my skin, his lips moving down to my neck. My head tilts slightly. I shake my head. He doesn't have a weapon, I do. I turn in his grip, raising my bat. He catches the swing with one hand. He doesn't even flinch. "I wouldn't do that baby." His voice is like velvet, filling up the room. His lips are back on my neck, his tongue trails over the skin. The voice, the lips, are familiar. "You might mess up my pretty face." "Pretty face, my ass." I let the bat drop to the floor in-between the two of us. I should've known. "What are you doing here?" "Besides scaring you shitless?" "You didn't-" "Don't lie, I saw what you did to those poor hangers." *** It's a game of cat and dog. A game that's lasted four years. A game that expires in three short months. It's a battle of wits, of sarcasm, of teasing one liners, of sloppy kisses that may lead to more but nothing passed physical. It's a game with no rules. And they seem to be breaking them all. Thea Shaw and Ethan Michaels have a complicated relationship. One that neither wants to come to an end. But with college nearing and feelings developing what will come of their little game? He promises her one last summer of underage fun; parties, sunsets, long talks, sweet kisses, and no talk of college until it's time to leave. There are only two ways this summer can end. Either in each other's arms or the breaking of their hearts. #4 in New Adult [COMPLETED]

Kate Blanchard rarely goes outside of her comfort zone - especially when it comes to boys. Between her younger sister who's desperately trying to find herself and her mother who can't get out of bed, boys are the last thing Kate needs to think about. But when she finds herself staring into the captivating eyes of JD Whitmore, he becomes the only thing she CAN think about. When she's with him, every worry in her life begins to fall away and it seems as though JD is the only thing keeping her together. But the more she gets to know him, the more Kate begins to struggle to stay afloat. And maybe, just maybe, JD is drowning her in more than just love. ~ ~ ~ PREVIEW: His eyes narrowed at my upward turned lips, and I quickly tried to mask it with a frown. It was too late though. His clasp on my chin tightened, so hard I almost jerked away. "Do you find this funny, Katie?" I tried to say "no," but my lungs were so deflated and his grip on my chin was so tight that I think all that came out was a moan or mumble. His eyes, positioned right in front of me, were like two mesmerizing whirlpools, sucking me in. In a resolute, velvety voice, he said, "Good." Then, he snapped my entire head to the side with just a flick of his wrist so he had easier access to press his lips against my ear. Tightening his grip even more firmly around my chin, his other hand came up to wrap around my clavicle, his long, strong fingers creating cavities near the nape of my neck. "Because the next time you refer to yourself as boring or plain or average," he growled. "I won't be so forgiving." ~ ~ ~ ***TRIGGER WARNING*** This book contains overall themes and specific scenes of abuse and assault. Please read at your own risk. 'The slap left a sharp sting in my palm letting me know that I definitely hurt Blaze. By now tears were pouring down my face. "I hate you Blaze." I turned around to leave when I felt him grab my arm pulling me against him. He leaned over speaking into my ear as he pressed his hard toned stomach against my back. He had a tight grip on my arm and one arm around my waist to stop me moving away. "You've slapped me three times now Jade. You better watch out because next time I won't let you get away with it." I closed my eyes when I felt his breath on my neck. We both seemed to be enjoying the position and close proximity too much since neither of us tried to move.'
