Mary was running again. She could feel the heat of the surroundings that were burning down, and with each step she could see that she was just out of reach of the hands that tried to grab her feet. If she slowed down or lost her footing, then they would have her. Fear gripped her heart with every step. She didn't dare to look behind her in order to see what was coming.
And then it happened.
Mary tripped and fell. She screamed as unseen hands grabbed her legs and began to pull her down, and as she looked up through blurred vision that was caused by heat and sweat, she glimpsed someone walking towards her. And with one final scream, Mary woke up.All Rights Reserved

I don't know how to explain it but it felt as though my brain was tearing in two, like my head was cracking open. When the pain stopped, I found myself surrounded by wolves, the shifted pups. Rubbing his thumb against my cheek, I slowly nod my head, when a pain began to form in my chest. I knew it was coming. I quickly get away, crawling a couple feet away. "Get away!" I yelled. My skin turning white and the pain erupting inside of me, feeling it try to escape, and I know if I let it. It will hurt this man. Suddenly, he was there in my view. Blue eyes staring at me, and then his lips were on my own. Gasping as I felt the pain beginning to disappear from inside me. Eyes drooping and my body relaxing against his. Soon, the kiss ended and I was empty. My eyes closing. "Don't worry, I will keep you safe..."
