Flawed

Dreams shouldn't feel like debts, but here I was, caught between ambition and reality. I could hear my mother's voice echoing in my head "Choose something we can afford."

But my heart was set, I wouldn't let go of my future in the medical field, even if it meant juggling jobs and sacrificing sleep. Determined, I'd find a way. And then, just as summer began to slip away, he walked into my life, tall, intense, with a gaze that promised secrets I wasn't ready for.
