Of The Wilds is a dark fantasy of ancient guardians, borrowed flesh, and a world beginning to fracture beneath its own forgotten history.
For centuries, Mavros-the primordial protector of the Wilds-has been unable to awaken from an unnatural slumber. Bound to the earth while his spirit wanders, he feels the land itself grow restless, roots whispering of an approaching danger buried deep within the world's foundations. Something is wrong, and even a being older than empires cannot name it.
When Mavros encounters Leon, a dying noble cast into the river after a brutal abduction, fate intervenes. Leon alone can see him. In a desperate bargain, Mavros takes refuge in the young man's body, granting Leon rest while gaining the means to walk beyond the Wilds and seek the source of the earth's warning. But the flesh resists its new occupant, bleeding and breaking as memories surface of torture, prophecy, and a terrifying title-the Herald.
As shadowed forces continue their hunt and the land's unease grows louder, Mavros must uncover why Leon was taken, what the Herald truly is, and whether the danger stirring beneath the world is the same force that put even a god to sleep.
The Wilds are awake. And something ancient has been forced to walk again.
