Lucerys' petty side relished in bringing Aemond a semblance of the anguish he felt these last few months. That was, if he cared to face Lucerys over the consequences of their actions. Lucerys wanted to see the panic set in after Aemond saw the result of their union. For Aemond to regret having discarded him after their one night together.
At the end of all this drama, Lucerys would have his heirs for Driftmark. Talk of his own bastardy would cease on account of his beloved boys. The boys' appearance proved Lucerys was legitimate after all. Once Lucerys died, there would be an actual Velaryon ruling Driftmark.
He wouldn't know if this plan would come to fruition until he started informing his family of his sons.
