Nick smoothed out the paper. It was written in a smooth handwriting that he instantly recognized with a feeling with dread. It read, “Your life is in danger. Run” There was no signature except a red chinese stamp. A perfect circle with two lines curving through it. Nick knew it was supposed to represent a pearl coming out of a shell. Nick could hear waves crashing in his ears as he stood, frozen, on the sidewalk.
