(Yes - another werewolf/mate story, but I hope you enjoy my version!)

An accomplished photographer, Valdina (Val) Monroe finds solace in the woods during her many hikes. Though haunted by a traumatic past that makes her wary of others, her outlook slowly changes when she encounters Liam, a mysterious man who can transform into a wolf and claims they share a unique bond.

Unwillingly pulled into a werewolf community that despises humans, Val learns that the pack leader will only allow her to leave if Liam accompanies her back to the human world, ensuring their secret remains safe.

Believing she is safe from the werewolves, apart from the one she feels an irresistible attraction to, who is forced to live with her, she remains unprepared for the perils that emerge from their forbidden connection, as the haunting past she has fought to forget resurfaces.

The prediction Of 2012. The apocalypse was not as we expected. Werewolves ruled Humans were slaves No escape for any. Each pack had different rules, but the rules every human had to follow were simple and controlling; Always obey your enforcer. Never harm a werewolf. Never disrespect a werewolf. Never make eye contact with a werewolf. Never leave the pack house. Any physical harm from a werewolf is immediately pardoned. You must follow these rules and your pack's mindlessly, never a chance of getting out. That is, unless you're a woman. For werewolves, the female is always the lesser one due to their wolf genes, meaning no male humans had mates. And, of course, if humans tried to find their own love they were instantly killed. As for females, if you had a mate, you were considered the female equivalent of their rank. But it only means you become their baby machine and must obey their every whim. Oh, what a sad fate humans lead...
