The boys best friend is a two year old Alsatian by the name of Oscar ( or Ozzie for short) who is not only the reason Tyler was kicked out of his unhappy home, but the reason he was brought into a cozy new one. 

When Tyler meets Harper, a dyslexic girl new to the area, his world changes.  This girl made him see everything differently, feel different.
