Spirit of the Forest

A dark, cold, endless forest through which no light penetrated.
A forest that stretched into the distance, and beyond it, an endless sea could be seen. Waves crashing against the shore, raising foam, fishing boats with nets, buoys bobbing on the waves. A quiet, unremarkable town, surrounded by forested cliffs, a sea breeze piercing the air, barely glowing lanterns illuminating the streets covered in a slight fog. The tranquility I was expecting disappeared immediately.
