In the picturesque coastal town of Leisure Bay, where people fret over tan lines and what to do with their day, Jessie anguishes over how to keep a roof over her little brother’s head. All she wants is to make things better for him but no matter how hard she tries, nothing seems to improve. Her grasp on hope is precarious until she meets someone who challenges her every preconception. Matt is a man who carries the world on his shoulders. Having had his heart crushed at an early age, he doesn't believe he's capable of surviving much more. He works to keep things clean and simple, avoiding drama at any cost. But when a woman with tragic green eyes crosses his path, he feels as though she is the only choice his heart can make. This is a story of life-changing love in the midst of pain, fear and cruelty.

Shoreside

This is a story about life, finding oneself in unfamiliar territory, losing those we love, staying together with those we love, growing up, hardship, and above all else, finding a way through. Stay strong, dear reader, there may be rough water ahead. **** It is important to note that there is disturbing content in this story. I am not a woman, and I do not presume to know all the hardships a woman may face. I do not intend this story to take away from real stories, nor do I intend to make myself seem somehow righteous in telling of the hardships of others, even in a fictional sense. I only wish to acknowledge the cruelty in this world, and the reality of the suffering of those who suffer, who are hurt, who are victims.
