At the pinnacle of the the Battle for Earth, Commander Jonathan Shepard did not pick any of the three choices that the Catalyst gave him. He chose a different route. A route that the Reapers surprisingly followed. The Reapers suddenly leave, vanishing back into dark space with Shepard along with them. Follow the story of Shepard as he deals with the mental drama of the war and his return to the galaxy when the universe needs him most.

Words sounded muffled, like her ears were full of water, yet she spoke as if she knew what people were saying.
