Secretly

We've all lived a version of it-the story of unrequited love. That quiet ache, the longing without return. I thought I might escape it. I guess there's no escape. I was not an exception.

It was summer, two years ago, when I met him. At first, he was just another face in the crowd. But slowly-quietly-he became someone unforgettable. Someone who mattered far too much.

We all have that one person. The one who changes everything without even trying.

But tell me this: How much of yourself can you give to someone, knowing they'll never feel the same? Knowing that your love will echo in silence, unanswered?

This is my story.
