Katherine Rothschild has been 17 since 1596. She's been living out of her suitcase, only able to stay in the same place for a few years to avoid being discovered. The last time she was in London was 56 years ago. The only person she knows is her best friend, Turner, whom she's been travelling with since 1923. James Couthlan has lived in London since he was 6. Everyone knows who he is, and he knows everyone as well, except the new girl, Katherine. He knows the perfect way to get to know her is at the history trip to a huge castle where they have been put together as partners. Turner doesn't want Katherine to go on the history trip. She grew up in that castle and going back would bring up unwanted memories. But she does want to get to know James Couthlan and the only way to do that is to go on this trip.
