Thomson and his two roommates were relaxing at one point when Thomson glanced at the newspaper. He didn't pay much attention until one of his roommates, Joey, noticed it. Joey snatched it from Thomson's hands; it was free Motley Crue tickets. He claimed them, but Thomson was skeptical. A few days later, Joey won the tickets, so they headed to Los Angeles to see Crue. While there, Thomson spotted a small raven-haired guy on stage tuning his guitar, and the taller man was staring at him, wondering who that small guitarist was.
