There were whispers of a darkness settling on the land. It was old and ancient, and looked far too similar to the Dark that had befallen the Earth ages ago. Villages are being massacred in bizarre ways, Demons are seen in the forest, People have gone missing... Hope is dying quickly. At least, to some it is. There is other talk of the Old Prophecy, that the Goddess of Fire will return to finish what she had started. However, it seems that that hope will die as well.

The dream never ended-it only changed shape. Months after the shattering of the Door beneath Camp Half-Blood, Callum "Cal" Bexley has learned to live between worlds: not fully asleep, not fully awake, but haunted by whispers from a dream that still remembers his name. When a new constellation appears above both camps-a white-gold feather burning through the sky-Cal knows the silence is over. Summoned west to Camp Jupiter, Cal and Naia Reyes find themselves caught between the domains of Hypnos and Somnus, where memory itself has become a weapon. There, Praetor Octavia Aelius and her temple's dreamwalkers struggle against a spreading phenomenon called the Veil-a thin, living barrier between realities where dreams bleed into the waking world. As Cal's control over the dream realm begins to fracture, he discovers that the First Dream wasn't destroyed at all-it evolved, learning to hide inside the minds of those who touched it. Each night, more demigods vanish in their sleep, pulled across the Veil toward something vast and hungry. Now, Cal must master the power he never wanted and confront the truth of his lineage: that the son of Hypnos may have inherited more than dreams-he may be the key to keeping the gods themselves from forgetting who they are. But the deeper he travels into the Veil Between Stars, the more the line blurs between dreamer and god, love and illusion, life and the sleep that never ends. Because some awakenings cost more than dreams can repay.
