Chapter 1: There I was. Standing on the telephone wire, my near perfect feathers were ruffled by the wind as the intense crimson sun set behind me. I shuffled around uncomfortably, aware of the the large pigeon on the other side of the wire. His noticeably large head combined with his body filled with excess fat made him look like a freak.
