A month into their marriage, Thomas and Avia , are expecting their first child. Thomas was a military man leaving for training, while being away from his wife she has to begin her pregnancy alone. The troop that Thomas had been enrolled in had been told to head off to the war. Avia soon expected at home was not aware of the change in her husband's where abouts, began to feel ever so lonely. She was told that he would be home for the birth of their first child, but soon realised that this was a lie. A week after giving birth she received a letter that read. "Dear Mrs. Day We are not at the moment sure of you husbands where abouts." This killed Avia inside and out. Would they find him? Was he dead? Would their child grow up without a father? Where was the man she loved!?
