Twelve years ago, the kingdom of Ilyria began its brutal conquest. Twelve years ago, four kingdoms fell, one after another, beneath its brutal control. Twelve years ago, four royal families were slaughtered. Twelve years ago, magic vanished from the world.

Twelve years ago, five princesses vanished with it.

For twelve years, Ilyria has held most of the continent within its cruel grasp. Those who once practiced magic have been hunted down and exterminated, even after magic itself vanished from the world, and hope has all but vanished, too.
