18 year old Derik Grey lives alone at his seaside apartment, loving his job as a waiter at the Salty Urchin he thinks he has it made, that is until his soon to be step brother shows up and tries to drown him in the ocean for being gay.
 just as he is about to accept death he is rescued by Hayle, a 19 year old merman that just happened to be swimming by. soon the two realize that there may be more to their fateful meeting.
