❝in which two misfits from different worlds altogether find just how ethereal each other's company can be.❞
Hecate, goddess of witchcraft and a prominent figure in Greek mythology, is in simple words: fed up. Fed up of being trapped in the pits of hell without cause, fed up of the monotony that her life has adapted to, fed up of herself. Fed up of the 'duty' she is bound to, and the shackles of destiny that never seem to leave her alone, even when she has spent her whole life running.
Loki Laufeyson, god of mischief, wants something new. Wants to escape his brother Thor's shadow, find a piece of solace that has been missing his whole life, and wants somebody to understand. Wants to be viewed as something more than the last resort, the spare prince of Asgard. Wants somebody to maybe want him, for who he is, as a person and not the son of Odin. Neither of Laufey. Just him. Just Loki.
And yet, we don't always get what we want, do we?
Of course, both of them are from completely different universes. Greek and Norse, ones with very little similarities between them. But what if, somehow, somewhere, their existence collided? What if the destiny that Hecate has longed to escape and the title Loki thinks of as a burden is what brings them together? What makes them ethereal?

Because sometimes, in moments like this, I really believed he was the only one who could ever understand me."
