Solstice once lived a normal life, with the goal of being a data clerk. His best friends: Elita-1, Optimus, and Sentinel all had huge ambitions, one's Solstice happily supported, but a position of power never interested the drake. But the young dragon's life in turned upside down when he discovers he is a carrier dragon. One of the only seven dragons who can carry eggs. His life drastically changes, and he almost breaks when Elita is presumed dead and Optimus demoted. 

Eventually, the carrier dragon receives a letter from Optimus, informing him that he discovered abandoned Deceptidragon hatchlings. Solstice is all too eager to help and drops everything to go take care of the poor hatchlings.

But what happens when Megatron finally discovers the location of Soundwave's long-lost hatchlings? Things become especially confusing when the hatchlings don't want to leave the side of an immensely attractive carrier dragon.
