Love Lost

Every Summer, the Sun Chasers come to our part of the island. At least that's what we like to call them. It's really just a name for rich privileged assholes looking for another person to add to their body count. The rest of us, the ones who've lived here most of our lives just exist during summers. Most of us. We're the Islanders. My dad tells me to stay far away from the Sun Chasers. He says they are bad news. I don't need my fucked up crack head father to tell me that. The murders are reason enough. He always tells me, "Lexi! Whatever you do don't fuck around with those Sun Chasers." I have no idea which way he means that sentence. Either way, I could care less what my so called "father" thinks. I do my best to avoid Sun Chasers, but it's inevitable. They are crawling everywhere at the start of summer, especially on a Summer night like this one.
