the Queen's man (Original story by me)

Rudolf John Caldwell II was born into a noble family of Dukes and Dutchesses, Viscounts and Viscountesses, and he is set to be the next duke of his home city, Dialskarr (Dee-All-scar). all his life he has trained to be a duke. he knows everything there is to know. he thinks this is his only option. sure, he would much rather be throwing darts or spending time with his dogs, but this is the life that has been put before him. he has no other choice.

but when a woman becomes king, this changes. Princess Marina Klocwell (Clock-vell) is an only child. her father was king. when he found out that she would be his only offspring, he decided to change the law so that Marina could become queen, and then king if she chooses not to marry. this was not taken well by others. after her father dies Marina becomes queen and king. she rules with an iron fist and takes orders from nobody.

Rudolf knows nothing of this. but when his uncle summons him to the dungeon, his life, he realizes, will never be the same.
