Michael Von Cleve. Typical teenage boy? Yes. Average teenage boy? Not entirely. Every 18 year old has their good days and bad days. Mostly bad, but that doesn't always matter. At least not for Michael. He lost his father when he was barely the age of 2. He grew up with a distraught mother; a drunk. But Michael also had three best friends that he loved more than anything. Brody "River" King was the troublemaker, Emmett Palmer was the quiet responsible one, and Amber Slovavich was the pristine girl who yet knew how to get on everyone's bad side. All of them were respectable at times, but they all knew something the others didn't about themselves. They were all equally unafraid of anything and fit the "bad child" teenage stereotype. Each of these four teenagers have their share of evil doings and dark secrets of their own. But all of that must be put aside when they discover their darkest fear yet: their futures.

Grey Hayden didn't fit into any specific category. She was girly, geeky, sporty, rebellious, studious, and... Average. She was just Grey. The things that made her special were things that'd go unnoticed by the naked eye. You'd have to really see her in order to see who she was. Luckily, she had four people who'd done just that. Four friends that were more like siblings. Except for one. Jackson was always a friend, a good one, but there were subconscious feelings that just didn't allow for him to be referred to as a brother. They were never acted upon, for the simple reason that he was out of her league. He was a beautiful bad boy, and she was a simple, tolerable girl. But, he didn't see a simple girl. He saw so much more. When the feelings finally make their way out into the open, Grey's opportunity to run, like she always wanted, was too tempting to pass up. So, they ran. Or, drove, really. They packed a few things and drove. They drove across the country to the Big Apple, where they try to establish a place to call home.
