Her dad didn't win in a competition so he expected his daughters to win where he lost before‚ Philomena holds a lot of pressure in her life since her sister‚ Aille, win a lot of medals back then.

Philomena joined in figure skating because that's what her dad ordered for her‚ she doesn't have a choice but to agree with that even though it's not her thing. 

Philomena thought her time only spin in figure skating and school, nothing else. Not until she met this guy, Leander, a swimmer guy, during the summer training. Leander can win the competition without trying hard, he can also have fun, spend time with everyone, and can do everything he wanted, unlike Philomena, she can't win without trying hard.
