Avery James is not the normal 22 year old F1 driver. She has made history by being the first female driver in Formula One. Not only is she the first woman, but she's the first woman to become an F1 champion. It also made her the youngest F1 champion ever.
Everyone sees her as this celebrity known as AJ who is happy, but not everything is as good as it seems. Behind the scenes, Avery is struggling with her feelings and the press. She has even started to question her decisions and it got worse when she runs into someone from the past who doesn't know her as AJ the F1 champion, but as Avery who grew up in Des Moines, IA.
Charles Leclerc is not only AJ's teammate, but also her best friend. But sometimes their relationship seems like more than friendship, and it's because they both like each other more than friends. Just neither one wants to risk their friendship, and it just opens up the door for someone else. But Charles will never give up on Avery. Not even when her past comes back.
Caitlin Clark is the national player of the year. She is ready to focus on the next season, and win the championship. But it's hard when you have the media and fans following you. Sometimes she misses the past when no one knew her.
That's when she remembers a girl who used to be her best friend until the girl moved away. She will never forget the best friend, because she was her first crush.
