After the chaos with the hunters and the Anuk-Ite, life in Beacon Hills returned to normal. Half of the pack went to college, leaving Liam and the puppy pack to manage high school. But Liam couldn't get one thing out of his mind and it was Theo.
Since he is back in school too, Liam couldn't focus on anything else. Every glance and interaction reminded him of their complicated past, and he felt there was still something unresolved between them.

And sure, he'll help out Scott's pack and all, but everybody knows Theo won't ever be in it - there's only one person who even tolerates him in Scott's pack, and that's Liam Dunbar. Liam Dunbar is the temporary alpha of the McCall pack while Scott's away at college, and he's handling things pretty well.
