Wake Up Call.

Monique Ballard has never had issues with making friends. Or talking to boys. She's quite honestly never had a problem with anything at all. Everybody does what Monique wants, so Monique is happy. Was happy, that is. Her perfect life all came crashing down as soon as her parents made the choice to migrate from Washington to California. With all of her friends about a thousand miles away, it is doubtful that she has a shot at maintaining her popular status. Especially now that she is going to Beaumont Junior High, where everybody seems unforgiving to Monique's good looks and "charming" personality. To Monique, moving southward is an absolute disaster, but Beaumont Junior High might teach her something about being a decent human being.
