Sienna is the person you hire when you need a plus one to an ex's wedding, someone to introduce to your parents, to go to a concert with, or simply someone who can spend some time with you when you're lonely. And for Sienna the latter seems to be the most in demand. Her clientele mostly consists of terminal patients, looking for a person to spend a few days with, and to have someone around when they say goodbye.
And Sienna is that person for them, always aiming to provide the best experience for her clients. She follows simple rules: to send you off with a smile, to keep it light, to make it worthwhile and to keep it professional. Most importantly, she never asks one too many questions about your life circumstances.
Lately however, Sienna finds herself at a crossroads in life. While she enjoys what she does, and helping the people who need it, being around death for so long and so often, has started bleeding into all other aspects of her life, radically affecting her, and she finds herself unable to stay afloat; after all, how many times can she bear to watch someone she got to know die.
As she continues to spiral, Sienna meets her newest client. A man who claims to have a few days left, and would like to spend them with her visiting all his favorite places one last time. A simple request, and not out of the ordinary for her, yet with each day spent in his presence, Sienna finds herself unable to resist wanting to find out more about him.
Nor is she finding herself able to keep her promise to spend him off with a smile.
