The world knew him as Captain America, a symbol of hope and freedom for generations. But on New Year's Eve, a single gunshot in Times Square shatters that image, leaving Steve Rogers dead and a nation in mourning.
Tony Stark, consumed by grief and a burning need for vengeance, vows to unmask the killer. His quest plunges him into a treacherous conspiracy that stretches from the glittering lights of New York City to the ancient temples of India, where a hidden enemy lurks, their motives shrouded in shadows.
As Tony unravels a web of betrayal and deceit, he discovers that the threat to Captain America's legacy runs deeper than he ever imagined. Old allies become suspects, new enemies emerge, and the line between hero and villain blurs. With the fate of the world hanging in the balance, Tony must confront his own demons and make a choice that will define his future and the future of the Avengers.
But the truth comes at a devastating cost, forcing Tony to confront the ultimate question: how do you uphold a hero's legacy when the very foundations of that legacy have been shattered?

Despite their best efforts to regain the trust of the world, the Avengers are still met with criticism. With every move they make under close scrutiny, they find themselves treading lightly to avoid more incidents akin to Ultron and the tragedy of Sokovia. When a new team of superheroes is entangled in disaster and an Avengers mission goes wrong, the government steps in with new legislation that would force all superheroes to register, and be overseen, by the government. Eager to right the wrongs of his past, Tony Stark is quick to join the government's efforts, believing that oversight will ensure that more disasters do not happen at the hands of the Avengers or any other super-powered individuals. In opposition of this is Steve Rogers, who believes that government oversight would enable politicians to decide who the villains are, forcing superheroes to become nothing more than political pawns. When the King of Wakanda is assassinated and Steve's old friend turned enemy, Winter Soldier, is implicated things become even more complicated. Forced to choose a side in a civil war, Dean Allen can't stop thinking about a far greater threat that lurks. Please note that this is an installment in an ongoing series. A Siren's Song - A Steve Rodgers Fan Fiction by fangirl_kira
23 parts Complete Mature
A Marvel Universe Story By: @fangirl_kira 1942. Brooklyn. Amina Jones was once a girl with calloused hands and a mother's lullaby buried in her throat. After the war stole her family and the world looked the other way, she vanished - only to reemerge in shadows and whispers as Hydra's most elusive and devastating weapon: The Black Siren. She does not speak. She sings. And when she sings, people fall. Forgotten by the world that once raised her and weaponized by those who stole her name, Amina has become a ghost of the woman she used to be - an assassin whose melody can tear through the mind like shrapnel. But when a failed mission places her face-to-face with the one person tethered to her past, her carefully conditioned world begins to fracture. That man is Steve Rogers. And once upon a time, in the alleys of Brooklyn, she took a beating meant for him. Now, decades later, Steve stands in the crossfire between the woman he once knew and the weapon Hydra built. Caught between guilt and duty, Steve sets out on a mission that defies orders, borders, and logic: he will bring her home. But Amina doesn't know what home means anymore. She doesn't remember being Amina. As the Avengers unravel Hydra's lingering web of control, whispers rise of a soldier with no past and a song that breaks the soul. Some say she's a myth. Others call her a monster. Steve Rogers? He calls her his responsibility. But rescuing the Black Siren won't just mean saving one woman. It will mean confronting the ghosts of a war that never truly ended, the brutal cost of manufactured obedience, and the fine line between freedom and control. As alliances fracture and old wounds reopen, one question haunts them all: If your identity was stolen... how much of you is left to save?
The Weight of Grief by Kale_Kabbage
12 parts Complete Mature
It's almost funny. How grief sneaks up on you. One second, you're fine; you're coping well and then it hits you like a bullet, tearing right through your heart, almost killing you on the spot. Grief is a monster that lies dormant in the darkest quarters of your mind, growing stronger and stronger until you can't fight anymore. Until you can't breathe. Peter was fractured. The monster having grown too big, and without any support left to hold him up, the world of drugs dug its claws into him. And it was slowly killing him, like a sickly sweet poison that dulled the pain while quietly feeding on his soul. He was powerless to stop it. He was too tired to stop it. Tony was doing pretty good. Aside from having died, he was doing pretty good. Resurrected from the dead, check. Thanos dead, check. Wife and daughter thriving, check. He'd never expected to get his life back, that was for sure. He was thankful for the second chance. Unfortunately, Tony was quick to discover that the kid had all but lost his own life. It felt like a knife slowly twisting into his chest every time he saw the kid: in agony. Now Tony wasn't exactly the poster-child for a good emotional support figure, but he wasn't about to sit back and let this continue. No matter how hard the kid fought him, no matter how much resistance he was met with, Tony would help the kid. Still, he couldn't help the fear that laced his blood. Tony couldn't help but question whether he would be able to save Peter from the weight of grief. **NO Starker** Triggers Warnings: Substance Use/Abuse Depressive and/or Suicidal Thoughts/Mentions Rape Threats/Mentions Descriptive Blood/Minimal Gore Some Self-Harm Coarse Language Mental Illness (various) This is a heavier story, so please don't read if you're not comfortable with any of the above triggers. *CURRENTLY BEING EDITED - EDITED CHAPTERS HAVE THE NUMBER WRITTEN WITH NO NUMBERS* When Tony first met Grace, she had just climbed out of a cryogenic tank in a HYDRA base, soaked in blood and with no memories whatsoever. Tony was also bleeding from the fight after the truth about his parent's murder was revealed. Against his best judgment, he takes her with him to help recover her memories. It doesn't take long for Tony to find himself falling for her, but he didn't expect her to feel the same way. Things seem to be perfect until Grace's history comes to light, stiring up issues about the Accords and the separation of the Avengers. At the same time, a mysterious enemy with solid proof of things the Avengers and SHIELD would rather hide appears, determined to tell the world who our favorite heroes really are. Set after CA: CW. Grace is my OC and belongs to me but anything associated with Marvel doesn't. Mature themes such as torture, PTSD, anxiety, trauma, and violence are explored. Some smut. Proceed with caution.
