"I didn't think that the first night at my new college would end with me getting my back broken. And not in the fun way. I'm kind of annoyed about it. Not how I wanted to kick this year off. I got into my dream school, University of Miami. Big change from New York but I've loved this school since I found out what college was. I was looking forward to this for a while. I had decided to spend my first two years at a nearby community college to get my pre rec classes out of the way and save money. It was definitely a good idea, but the vibe of the school was: go to class, go home, and that's it. So to get to a big university I was excited for that cliche "college experience." I was excited to get shitfaced at a frat party, hookup with random guys, join a sorority and probably regret it. It's where you're gonna make the most mistakes, I mean it's the first time most people have complete, or almost complete freedom. Every adult ever always told me "college is where you're supposed to find yourself" and I was really hoping that would reign true. something i'd love to publish one day. after some hefty editing tho aha. intercept: Felix found himself very invested in Alice's daily visits. He was spending extra time getting ready in the morning. He had only a few inches of light brown wavy hair on top of his head and very little on the sides, yet he was spending his mornings making sure it laid in the perfect spot and looked just messy enough to act like he didn't care. He was setting out his clothes at night so that his jeans wouldn't have wrinkles in them. He was brushing his teeth for double as long as he normally would. He even invested in some floss. When he would go downstairs to Mugz, he would make sure to put on the cleanest Mugz sweater he had. He started sweeping more. Especially around the time she would be in, if only to be out in the lobby with her instead of having to talk over the counter. Alice was the same as always. She was very good at not showing an effect that his words had on her if she didn't want to. Any time she would say something suggestive or bold, Felix would find himself blushing or stuttering, but on the rare occasion that Felix would try to be as bold, she would just grin and laugh.
