Maria Denver is just an ordinary girl trying to get through high school alongside her best friend Katy Truce. But along the way a lot of things happen in her life. She ends up having a very traumatic experience with her boyfriend Blake which causes them too break up. 

Katy's childhood bestfriend, who she hasn't spoken too in a while, Joe Daniels and his best friend, Jace Rider, are the hottest guys and most popular in school. But Jace is also the biggest player of the school. 

Maria finds herself confiding in Jace, who slowly starts changing his ways.

But someone is lingering in the darkness, ready to pounce and ruin everything for her, ready to prove to her that love... Is confusing.
