Everybody dreams of being a hero. We want to feel important, unique. We crave the attention worn as capes. We want the modest masks. While growing up, most are distracted from these desires and lose sight of the real goal. How awesome could it be to make someone's day or save someone's life? As the years pass, life seems to turn into a crazy spiral only ending in a dark depression. Fate only allows you to be the villain. So the question sits, how can you change your destiny?

Through the darkness, the computer screen illuminated the pale skin of Adelae's face around the black mask. Scrolling through the submitted questions, she came across one that made her smile. "Dear Lady Shade," She read aloud to herself. "Why did you choose to be a villain instead of a hero?" She chuckled, shaking her head at the simple, loaded question, before selecting it and opening the page to write a reply. "Hello Blogger KittyStan41. Izuku Midoriya has spent his whole life watching others shine while he, born without a 'strong' quirk, is left in their shadow. His 'friend,' the one who always seemed to get the praise and attention, had the power he could only dream of. Izuku Shimura - Emerald Collector (HIATUS)
All characters belong to the Kōhei Horikoshi. I don't own MHA/BNHA. This is my first time writing Izuku Yagi fic. Izuku Shimura had a great life. He grew up among some of Japan's greatest heroes. His father was former #1 villain turned hero of Japan - All For One, AKA Hisashi Midoriya - his stepfather was #1 Japan's hero - All Might - and his mother was #13 Japan's hero - Green Telek, AKA Inko Shimura. He had many friends, crush on Momo Yaoyorozu and one dream - to become a hero like his family members. That was until his visit in Quirk doctor's office. One simple word - Quirkless. All of his dreams shattered that day. All of his friends, except from Katsuki, Shinso and Shoto, started to bully him to prevent him from being a hero. Most of the teachers didn't even try to stop it, hell no, they encouraged it! Even Momo, the girl who promised to always stand by his side, joined them. His family and his only three true friends always tried to cheer him up and help him, unaware that his friends betrayed him. One day, he finally snaps. He is tired of constant bullying and living in society, in which quirkless means worthless. He leaves a goodbye video and runs away from home to end his miserable life. That's when he met the Collectors - the mysterious group of people fascinated by unnatural, mystical and/or paranormal powers. They stop him from preventing this mistake and offers him to join them and to give him one of the most powerful quirks this world has even seen - Emerald Eye. In return, they just want him to share his amazing analysis skills with them. Izuku of course agrees. How this decision will affect those, who turned their backs on him? Will he seek revenge of them? Will he forgive them? Find out for yourselves!
