Rotten follows Billy Landing, a young, non-binary teen who is reluctantly forced to return to the crumbling, decaying town of Bearwood, Washington, after years of trying to escape its grip. Once a sleepy, run-down place, Bearwood is now something far worse- a town haunted by dark secrets and a malevolent presence that festers beneath the surface. The air is thick with decay, and the streets whisper of unsolved murders and long-buried horrors.

Billy thought they had left it all behind but unfortunate circumstances forced them back to confront the place they feared most. As Billy reconnects with the town's twisted past, they realize that some wounds never heal- and some things never stay buried. A killer stalks the streets and the deeper Billy digs into their own forgotten history, the closer they come to discovering that their connection to Bearwood runs darker and deeper than they could ever imagine. In a place where no one can be trusted, Billy must decide whether they can escape the town's sinister pull- or if they'll become its next victim.
