The Autobots have won the war with the decepticons fleeing to the stars. With the exception of one who willingly surrendered himself near the end of the war. A decepticon warrior who, while having some respect from other cons, was always a source of mockery for his scar that he got in the war. he saw the truth of how the decepticons treated their own as opposed to the Autobots and so willingly surrendered to them, only requesting to be on their side willing to exchange information or anything else to be an Autobot. Eventually he ended up with a small space bridge repair crew and would go through a journey to truly redeem himself as a bot.
This is the story of how the decepticon brute Breakdown not only became an Autobot but helped put a stop Megatron from conquering Cybertron.
(A/N: This will basically be TF Prime Breakdown in the animated universe. with the main difference just being their characters. No this isn't a "Breakdowns spark is sent and is resurrected in another universe" crap, it's an in universe Breakdown. like in my other transformers stories I will try and make this a full canon story in line with the show with some minor changes.)

As Optimus Prime flew into its core, white light enveloping him and he thought he could finally rest, he then wakes up to falling in the sky, plummeting to green foliage below, an immense abnormality for Cybertron. When he comes to, he realizes that he was back on Earth, but it wasn't his, at least not from the way people looked. A transformers prime fanfic (Knockout x Breakdown) [Prequel to the book 'I miss you', includes events that happened before that series took place. Story of a Sparkling-Transformers fanfic
An ambush. That was all there was to it. The Prime was alone at that time, launching his only sparkling off world to protect her. He was so close to losing her to the Decepticons, at least that was what he thought. He was left heavily damaged, leaking energon, for the other Autobots to find. The priority was not the Prime, but his sparkling. Their objective had been achieved, they did not need to do anything else. Optimus Prime was for their Lord and master to defeat, not them. Tfp Knockout x Breakdown: A Sparkling Story
This is a Transformers Prime fanfic about Knockout and Breakdown. Knockout and Breakdown are sparkmates, and after they spend some special alone time together, Knockout finds out that he's sparked. Knockout and Breakdown decide to hide it from Megatron and everyone else for as long as they can. But Megatron eventually finds out about their little secret and shocks them both when he says that he will allow them to keep the sparkling! With Breakdowns help, Knockout has to perform his normal everyday duties around the Nemesis. Tasks becomes increasingly harder for Knockout as each month passes. But they soon uncover Megatrons true intentions for them and their sparkling. To save their sparkling they must decide what they should do, where they should go, and who they should turn to... *PAUSED* Transformers Prime: Optimus's Second in Command: Jetfire
After the death of Cliffjumper, the autobots were dealt quite the blow, both emotionally and in their numbers. On top of that air superiority is still in the decepticons favor which is still a big problem for the Autobots. But the day after the Autobots try to rescue Cliffjumper; only to find him as an undead terrorcon zombie, Ratchet picks up an autobot signal, but is perplexed to see that it is airborne. Most believe it's a trap, but Optimus believes that it is still worth investigating. As they try to do so the decepticons also pick up the signal. But the signal originator aids the Autobots in driving off the decepticons in his green cargo plane mode resembling a modified Antonov An-225. After the decepticons are dealt with, the jet hovers in front of the Autobots and then transforms into a bot that is nearly equal in height to Optimus himself. Once transformed Optimus immediately recognized who this bot was... his second in command, Jetfire. (A/N: Yes I am using the Transformers Cybertron Jetfire for this fanfic. And he will have his cyberkey power but it will be explained differently in the story.)
