Grief.
It creates a cloud over us. It absorbs us. It is capable of exerting power over us. Grief judges you at every waking moment. Everybody grieves differently. Some people will do anything to stay busy. Some will use drugs or alcohol. Some people will spend months in bed without speaking to anyone.

Daniella McGill has decided to disregard her grief. She thinks that finishing college is all that matters and that her pain isn't important. She ignores it until she breaks down on her own. The less she thinks about it, the less real it becomes. Daniella is a strong-willed young lady who believes she may triumph over grief. That grief is only a feeling; it will pass on its own.

Jayden Miller is Daniella's opposite. He feels that grief is a part of who you are. That it guides you and helps you cope with death. He has realized that death comes and departs. Jayden became conscious of how he was responding with grief and took control of the situation. He battled alongside grief, not against it.

When these two cross paths, they become inextricably linked. They each learn new things about grief; while previously believing they knew everything there was to know about it. They help each other grieve and see viewpoints they had previously neglected. Jayden shows Daniella that grief isn't a bad thing, and it can do good when dealing with loss.

Love is strange. It exists in many forms and is one of the key components that makes humans happy, but there isn't a lot of understanding surrounding it. At least not the kind of understanding with which the average person identifies. Agnes is one of the few people that can accept all kinds of love. Despite her dated name, she is a woman in her late 20's dealing with the death of most of her family. She's now stuck in the middle of figuring out how to raise children that she never saw in her future and deciding what love means for her, when it has to exist within layer upon layer of complication. She let go of her boyfriend after almost a decade because their love wasn't meant to exist under the strain of children, only to find herself confronted with the overpowering connection of her old high school sweetheart. The same man she ran away from because their values hardly aligned when it came to how love should be expressed long term. Within the midst of learning how to raise children and balance her ever-building career, Agnes tries to recover from her mother's death, seek comfort without complicating her circumstance, and figure out why her mother would name her Agnes. Finding real comfort starts to feel impossible, as her most available options are her ex-boyfriend and her assistant. Completed! Rejected 6 times** "This one just isn't for us." By far the most plain rejection I have ever received and I can respect it. 1/22/2022 - 1K 9/28/2022 - 10K

He looked at her, watching the way her cheeks flushed a deep red as he brushed a strand of hair behind her ear. "You're breathtaking. You have no idea how gorgeous you are, do you?" His voice was a low whisper, sending shivers down her spine. She tried to hide her smile but failed. Slowly, he leaned in, his breath warm against her neck. "Would you like me to make you feel good?" Her heart raced as she nodded, barely able to speak. His hands moved down her legs, teasing her, building anticipation. She leaned back, letting herself get lost in the moment, her mind swirling with the intoxicating sensations. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Michelle Garcia is doing the best she can to get back on her feet along with her 17 year old son. In her 40s, thrown away twice by men she should've been able to trust, she has chosen to focus on what she can control and work hard to provide for herself and Tony. Grant, Trent and Sam are three friends who have been together through thick and thin. Growing up together, they realized that they would always be a team. Them against whatever the world was going to throw at them. They also realized that they never wanted a woman to pull them apart. No Yoko Ono for them, nope. They needed a woman that they could share; one that would hold them together and balance them out. They tried separate relationships in the past but all fizzled out. They never found one that met the needs and desires of all three, until they saw her. Jessie White stands out from the crowd. As a Southern woman, she defies the typical expectations for a twenty-four-year-old. While others her age might be in college or embarking on new careers, Jessie's upbringing on a ranch alongside four brothers equipped her with skills many would balk at. She's adept at horseback riding, calving, stall cleaning, and more. Fiercely independent, Jessie refuses to rely on any man, a resolve hardened after heartbreak at the hands of Max Lane, a rancher's son, two years prior. Jessie has resolved to take up bull riding, a skill that appears to be a family legacy. Her lifelong dream has been to ride a bull before an audience, but now, her ambition has shifted to rescuing the White Family Ranch after a substantial portion of their funds vanished and debts began accumulating. Max Lane's family is eager to buy the White Family Ranch, but Jessie refuses to let him take away the one thing that sustains her. Being a beauty bartender owner and a female bull rider makes things challenging. Everyone says she can't do it because she's a woman, but Jessie is determined to prove them all wrong. Initially skeptical, Trace Black doesn't recognize her potential until he witnesses her mount a bull for the first time. Although he may appear arrogant externally, that pales in comparison to his internal complexity. Trace and Jessie are initially oblivious to their chemistry, though it's evident to everyone around them. As Jessie gathers the courage to express her feelings to Trace, the things she dreads occur. However, it doesn't make matters worse; it alters everything profoundly. *WARNING* Book contains language, child loss, trauma, etc. Thank you for choosing my story!
