Verdict:
A nameless, wandering man with a large wooden box calls himself "Medicine Seller". He traveled everywhere, no one knew his origin, or who he was.
Mononoke, is what he sought out and exorcised. It's something caused by people's negative emotions and he will be the one to "cure" it.
The Medicine Seller always proceeds in the same manner, using his knowledge of the supernatural to fend off the Mononoke until he can learn the spirit's Form (形 katachi), Truth (誠 makoto), and Regret (理り kotowari).
Only then can he unsheathe his sword and exorcise the demon.
He never knows....
A mysterious woman from nowhere, blatantly waltz into his "journey"
She calls herself "Uranaishi" and is a strange "person"
It is rumored that "Uranaishi" is a good person, helping others change their fate. There are also rumors that "Uranaishi" is an evil spirit that spreads "karma" to people. Others rumored that "Uranaishi" was not someone from somewhere, just an ordinary fortuneteller.
But.... Is that the "truth"....?
This is a story about the journey of a "Mononoke" wandering around to find her pleasure, while exorcises Mononoke who "tainted" the human world.

Sarah Holmes knew she was unloveable. She had been looked over all her life. Finally thinking she had found love, only to find out that it was a lie. A happy outward portrayal while passionless moments behind closed doors. It was no surprise when her husband of ten years walked out on her for a co-worker. He had barely touched her during the entirety of their marriage and if he did, it was like performing a duty. Cursed with a great personality but not a visage to inspire any kind of passion, that was who she was. She hated herself. How she could draw people to her with her quick wit and mind but repulse men because she wasn't sexy? She felt like a split person and so she disappeared into fantasy, loving a man that didn't exist because she connected to his broken soul - one that just kept moving. Just as she always just kept moving. Then the unimaginable happened as her apartment is hit by a tornado. When she woke up in the hospital she is told that she is in the Leaf Village. Convinced that she finally had a mental breakdown or was in a coma somewhere, she does not share that she is not from that world and must survive on just what she had on her person when the tornado hit. The Wave
Ride the Wave... that was the channeled message she had received from her comfort character. Ride the wave to me... haunting and calling. Sarah Lí had been trying for more than a year to shift and in desperation, reached out to a psychic that made the audacious claim that she could channel comfort characters. The message that she received back had shocked her... but not long after strange things started to happen. Vibrations along her skin, the sense of being pulled even out of her body. Startling things. Things that terrified her as well. When she had been a teenager, she had played around with a variety of new age and occult things... but she had turned away from all that when she got older. After a series of things that would break someone of lesser willfulness, she found her outlet in Anime... more so in Naruto. The idea of never giving up, even in the darkest of times a balm to her soul... and one character who suffered as much as her captured her heart and mind.
