Echo Tabitha has a hard time in high school. Being smart, with glasses and a sweet personality you would think that maybe she'd be popular. Not the case. 
Echo is a normal girl with an abnormal name. She quite often doubts herself and is quite shy,  Echo goes about liking Collin Whitaker, the most popular guy in school. But her best friend Michael Carver likes her just as much as she likes Collin. This makes her just as much as any other girl, right? Not at the least. Echo doesn't have parents, she lives with her brother, Jake, and they depend on each other. Jake doesn't go to school anymore due to financial problems but he is old enough to have a job and not be in school. Echo must learn to be more like her bother. How will that work out? I don't know. Guess you will have to find out.

One of the main characters of this story isn't your average pretty, size zero, micro mini type of girls. Let me introduce Ava Jacobson. Now don't get me wrong, Ava is a beautiful girl in her own right. She is 17 years old, has brown hair just past her shoulders with caramel highlights, beautiful bright blue eyes, and a size 12 waist that she is not ashamed of. Ava has real curves; she has boobs, she has a butt, she has hips, and she loves herself. She is a smart girl who gets straight A's, and has friends that she considers as close as blood. And since the very first day of her freshman year at Alexandria High School she has had a crush on Jace Michaels. Jace is your typical all American kind of guy. No one knew it, but her father was a high functioning alcoholic that often took his anger out on his family. With her older sister now in college, it had turned to her more often. Laying low in general was a good strategy. Across town, Ryan was prepping for his final year in high school. While he wasn't the stereotypical quarterback of the football team, he did fit into the popular crowd. His sports of choice included basketball and soccer, either of which might line him up for a scholarship next year. Ryan had a group of close friends and a lot of adoring acquaintances. It wasn't easy juggling his athletics and keeping the grades up, but he was just that good. The supporting parents didn't hurt either. It might be a cliché romance, but it will be fun to see what the year and beyond holds. ------------------------------------------ This is a story I wrote years ago, or at least partially wrote. As I transcribe it here, I have tried to update it a bit and give the characters/story more depth than what I had when I was younger. Hopefully it all gets pulled together!
