Echo Tabitha has a hard time in high school. Being smart, with glasses and a sweet personality you would think that maybe she'd be popular. Not the case. Echo is a normal girl with an abnormal name. She quite often doubts herself and is quite shy, Echo goes about liking Collin Whitaker, the most popular guy in school. But her best friend Michael Carver likes her just as much as she likes Collin. This makes her just as much as any other girl, right? Not at the least. Echo doesn't have parents, she lives with her brother, Jake, and they depend on each other. Jake doesn't go to school anymore due to financial problems but he is old enough to have a job and not be in school. Echo must learn to be more like her bother. How will that work out? I don't know. Guess you will have to find out. This story is dedicated to my best friend @cifford_95. Hope you like :P!

Cassandra Gray is and always will be a nerd. She's the kind of girl that wears superman tees and reads comic books, and has never missed a superhero movie premiere. Of course, she was bullied a lot. At least she had always had her best friend Aidan to watch her back. In eighth grade, Cassie is forced to move to Ohio and leave her best friend behind. She learns that if nobody's there to stick up for her, life is living hell. She stops bringing her comics to school, changes out her glasses for contacts, and does what she can to to fit in. Even worse than school is her stepfather, Steven, who has been abusing her for the past year. When she finally calls the police, Steven is put in jail and Cassie and her mom get as far away from him as possible, which means moving back home to the life she left behind. Cassie comes back in time for senior year and just wants things to go back to the way they were. Instead she discovers a new life better than anything she could have imagined.
