Bound By Starlight

It hurts. It hurts so bad. Everything hurt so bad as I tried, (mentally and physically) arming myself against my own mind, my own wishes. I can't die. I won't allow myself to succumb to the monsters that they are while there are still people in this world that need my help.

They needed the help of someone that was now pacing the jail cell they were in, helpless, unable to do anything more.

Because I can't help them if I can't help myself.

It's not like he had a choice or say in the matter anyways. A ll she was meant to be to him was a mission that took a while to complete. And all he was meant to be to her was an evil villain, not any one of worth.
