Sunny wants the most out life, to experience all the taboo issues that remain untouched for fear of political wrongness, and when she meets Indigo she discovers a door to that world. A world of suicide, self harming, abuse and destruction.
Her only escape is Indi and she's falling hard, lost inside her own mind. As Indi drifts further away from reality Sunny must leave the world she once knew to rescue her.
Even if it means being broken from within.

Anneliese is an empathetic, goofy, outgoing young woman who has struggled finding a place to discover herself. Often looking for new ways to meet friends, she wouldn't pass the opportunity to chat someone up. Even a stranger at the diner she works at to pass time and support herself. A dedicated man takes to the nativity of Anneliese. He's direct and prefers to keep to himself. Even an isolated man by choice can't withstand Anneliese's pull. Two broken souls in the midst of a crazy world. Two souls running away from their past. There was no light at the end of the tunnel. The tunnel was cracking, slowly closing in. When these two connect, as if they were set on the same path, light creeps in through the cracks, and for or a moment, the tunnel seems to have a way out, but what if it collapses before they make it? - "You saved my life." The words come out as a whisper, I've been dying to say that. I thank god every day that he came into my life when he did. "Fuck Vivian, you don't know how much I needed you." I tear up just a little as he speaks, I don't know the last time I cried happy tears. I bring my hands up to cup his cheeks, resting my forehead against his. "No matter how much I push, I don't mean it. Please don't give up on me." My words seem to relieve him in some way as I feel his shoulders relax. "Even when I'm gone, I'll be by your side, forever." Bliss. Delight. Contentment. Euphoria. Elation. Joy. Glee. Felicity. Jubilation. These are all words synonymous to the word happiness. But what is true happiness? JUST SO EVERYONE KNOWS: this book was not made to glorify self harm and suicide. i wrote this book my sophomore year of high school and based it off of what was happening in my life at the time. self harm is not "quirky" or "fun" and it is a serious issue and can lead to death. the glorification of it on this app and others such as tiktok and tumblr make it so that people who are actually struggling are seen as "attention seekers." non suicidal self injury (NSSI) is a real problem. this book was written from own experiences and not from a person who has no idea what the hell they're talking about. if you are having suicidal thoughts or struggling with self harm, please don't hesitate to reach out to the suicide prevention hotline. even if you don't feel like you can talk on the phone, please text them. they are there to help and i don't want anyone else to go on the same path i was on. --- i'm fin e is the biggest lie i tell myself i'm fine is the biggest lie i tell everyone else because i'm not fine and nobody can see it ---- She woke up wishing she didn't. However reality hits and he becomes disappointed when he knows that he will never see her again until her decides to show his true potential and transfer to an AP math's class and at the back of the class sat his angel. Lucas has some demons as well. Fighting an horrid past, a personality disorder and then another hardship hits him. He has bad chemistry grades and must in list the help of the schools smartest girl but this condition comes as a price. Is Lucas willing to pay? She was ice and he was fire.
