Queen of Bargains: Monsters Under the Mountain
Selene was never meant to be part of this world. She had once been a medical student, living an ordinary life filled with textbooks, late-night study sessions, and the quiet certainty that magic was nothing more than fiction. Then, she woke up in a world ruled by monsters. For twenty-five years, she has survived on the outskirts of a human village, healing where she can, hiding where she must. She knows little of the High Fae, their courts, or their treacherous games. She knows only whispers-of a wicked queen named Amarantha, of a war that shattered kingdoms, of a High Lord with violet eyes and a smirk sharper than a blade. But when a raid on her village drags her Under the Mountain, Selene is thrust into a world of cruelty and deceit. Powerless and human, she should have been nothing more than another disposable servant. Instead, she catches the eye of Rhysand, Amarantha's right hand. To the world, he is a monster. A traitor. A willing pet in the queen's twisted court. But Selene has seen him at his most powerful. And now, she has seen him at his most broken. Forced into servitude, trapped in a palace where humans do not last long, Selene must navigate the deadly politics of a court built on suffering. But as she uncovers the truth hidden beneath Rhysand's carefully crafted mask, she begins to question everything she thought she knew-about this world, about him, and about the war that looms on the horizon. Because it was not fate brought her here. She was the obstacle to his fate. And fate is watching. all rights reserved to the original authorComplete
