When our English adviser tasked us to right a story, we were excite. As writers in the school publication, writing is very natural for us. However, this story took me about a week to construct and about 5 hours to be approved by my friends.

We really put our efforts in this story. We were able to pass it in a summarized version than its supposed to (because we know that our judge don't want long stories) We were lucky to be a part of the top 3. Sir gab- our 'judge' for that particular project, told us our story is too 'clichè'.


So today, I find my self re writing the story. This is how its supposed to be. NOT THE SUMMARIZED ONE WE PASSED.

I write this story about 3 or 4 years ago, and it took 21 hours to complete to a point where I saw satisfied (Ten Hours on Day One, Elevel on Day Two). The final chapter was never completed, but I feel it settled on a nice ending.

[Warning! Not edited!] We just got the news, that five people from our class would be allowed to have an exchange student come over from England. I was thrilled when I heard the news, and I really wanted to be one of them five. Luckily, my wish came true and I was one of the five, but what I didn't expect is to have the most snobby, self-centred, jerk for my British Exchange Student. Jace Nicholls, the very classy (so he thinks he is) British boy that I am stuck with for a week, worse is, that he has to stay in my house. As handsome as he is with his hair and sparkling eyes, I hate him. I thought it'd be fun, but this mean loser is making my life hell. I spend seven days with him, and I'm losing the will to live. Surprisingly, he kinda makes my heart race when I see him, but that's beside the point. I just need to last a week, and I'll never see him again. But at the same time, I don't want to let him go. My Summer of Writing and Stuff de SomewhatSmartGirl

The summer of my 5th grade year, my mum made me and my sisters type a page of something everyday. She didn't care what we typed, as long as we were writing and creating something. At first, I saw it as torture, so I tried so leave as many spaces as possible in my writing to fill up the pages faster. Eventually, I started to enjoy writing the stories, and now that I look back at them (as much as I hate to admit it) it actually wasn't that bad. This book contains everything I wrote during that time, and I didn't change a single word as I transferred the stories from my computer. There aren't as many stories as you would think, because I didn't write for the entire summer, but there's quite a few. Some are short stories while others are longer, but I hope you enjoy all of them. It's quite a mess, really. And I'm not joking when I say that. (I used the Canva app to create the cover. All photos, except from my drawing in the first part, are from Pixabay.)
